What does the Samuel Butler quote suggest?

The quote suggests, most part of our decisions are take depending on the group of people we are in, and I agree but not at all, because when there are moments in which I feel the instinct to do something, no matter if many people say that's wrong, I do it, it's my thought. In additional, if I don't know something about some topic or I'm not sure about a answer, it's easy for me believe in others. In conclusion, I think it depends on how much you believe in your thoughts.

  1. Andres,

Yes, it's important to be able to raise our voice when we need to--how do you think we prepare for such moments? Have you ever not done so? Sometimes, I have had to wonder why I didn't step up or intervene when I should have!
